VegeTek is the first ever plant-based coating that combines scratch resistance with the natural non-stick qualities of plant compounds. VegeTek has excellent characteristics such as easy glide finish, excellent resistance to heat (continuously stable at 260°C) and also chemical resistance (acids and alkalis). It is not subject to deterioration, will not alter the flavor of foods and cannot be damaged by microorganisms.

All this makes it optimum for improving cookware performance and also equally safe when it comes to the wellbeing of those who use it – even in the dishwasher. This coating has been developed by the Research and Development Department at TVS and consists of water and dispersed PTFE (PFOA free) - plant glycerine (clear, completely water-soluble liquid. This is a traditional cosmetic material that is used in the food and pharmaceuticals industry).
